About Us

BWA was established in 1978 in Burnley, Lancashire originally as Bangladeshi Welfare Association, and then grew into BWA Advice Centre. Since our formation, we have expanded into dealing with all areas of information, advice and guidance work retaining specialisation in policy and engagement with the local community.

Charity Walk 2023

19 Miles Charity Walk

BWA staff members took part in a 19 miles charity walk with Muslim Charity over 19 hours in Lancashire across 5 mosques.

£16,000 donations raised to help children in poverty throughout South Asia.

An enjoyable day well worth the effort.
